Kitaab (Arabic for "book") was born in Lexington, KY and purchased from Peregrine Bloodstock as a wedding gift for Stephanie. He was two years old and is the first horse of the herd. His nickname "Kitty" fits his very sweet and snuggly disposition. He is incredibly social and friendly with humans and horses alike. Like many Arabians, he is very sensitive to new sights and sounds and can get startled or frightened easily. However, he is learning to brave the unknown.
Mr. Tachita Man, affectionately known as "Tucker" was born in Walnut Grove, MS and made his way to KY by way of LA. He is the undisputed head of the herd. He has been in rodeos, given lessons to kids, performed in the show arena, and gone on trail rides. He is very smart with a calm disposition. He also has a history as an escape artist, visiting neighbors and returning home.
Coming soon… I’m working on it!
King, an American Quarter Horse, found his forever human, Katie, when he was just four years old. Together, they braved many adventures and were lifelong companions. Initially, a 11 year old Katie suggested to King they try Western pleasure riding. King suggested they not. Katie suggested they try other disciplines but King suggested they stay in the middle of the arena and watch others. After many discussions, King discovered that he enjoyed Dressage and Jumping and became terrific at Eventing. Together, they excelled through the levels and learned the discipline together. King competed through to jumping at a height of 3’3”. Katie and King went to college in South Carolina and enjoyed the beach life. After four years in SC, they moved back home to Kentucky. Katie became a teacher and suggested King do the same. While she was teaching kids in a classroom, King started teaching kids in an arena. King taught many children (and adults) how to ride, compete, and even win ribbons. His generous heart and playful personality gave many people the confidence needed as they discovered the joys of horseback riding.
As a senior horse, King overcame many physical obstacles, including arthritis and surgery. Katie and her family were by his side the whole way, always encouraging him to get up again. King spent his final years in retirement with a herd who knew him for over a quarter of his life. Tucker, always encouraged King to keep moving, even on days he was stiff. Coulee, being bigger and more powerful, often let King lean on him if he was feeling wobbly, and Kitty, a young horse, was his closest companion in his final years. Even at age 28, King and 7 year old Kitty would race across the pastures. King was also notorious for escaping and running around the farm. A lifelong passion of his, he never ran away just fast enough to give the humans some exercise.
On August 13th, 2025, at Peaceable Kingdom Farm, King took his last breaths and fell asleep in Katie’s arms. He was surrounded by his human family, his herd, and his friends. He was an exceptional horse, with a gracious heart and joyous spirit. He lived his life well. He will be forever missed by those who were honored to know him.
